The trip to the Azores was to attend an Island Biology conference on the island of Terciera and present papers on Social Aspects of Island conservation, and Friends of Lord Howe Island Weeding Ecotours. After the conference I visited several other Islands in the Azores group, including Faial to give a seminar on the impact of plastic on seabirds of Lord Howe Island, and some fieldwork monitoring Corey’s shearwater with local researchers.
