May 2016 – Friends of Lord Howe Island Weeding ecotour

This was a very special weeding week – not only was it the 80th weeding ecotour to the Island, but two of our loyal weeders decided to have a wedding ceremony on the week. John Pemble and Ian Sinclair have become very popular members of the Friends of Lord Howe Island. They invited all the weeders on this week, plus family and friends to a wedding ceremony at Ned’s Beach and the reception at Pandanus afterwards. We did achieve a lot of good weeding – visiting Edie’s Glen, Transit Hill and prepared an area above Ned’s Beach for later replanting with natives. Good weather for walks to Malabar, Boat Harbour and Intermediate Hill, and a brilliant day at North Bay. A very memorable week for all.
